| This
painting by Tania
Guerrera was
created to honor the African influences in Latin American music. Owned
by Maree Reyes, the Dominican, Puertorican and Columbian flags are
representative of Miss. Reyes' cultural backgrounds and influences.
The water flows from the African map on the wall onto the drum, a
"Vegigante" stands guard over the happy dancing scene, Che
Guevara is feautured in the foreground, between the windows (not visible
in the print). A candle shines to represent the spiritual influence
of the Mother Land. A wonderful gift or addition to an art collection. |
